
Dr. Viamonte Ros and Tom
Arnold started their visit with an orientation to Pasco County.
Dr. Johnson reviewed the county Health Department locations,
community health service centers, Special Need shelters and the
plans for the new Hurricane shelter and tobacco education center.
Dr. Viamonte Ros and Tom Arnold then visited with the Pasco County
Health Department staff at the New Port Richey, Main Street and
Counsel Square locations on the west side of the county.
Next stop on the agenda was
the County Commission Board Room where Dr. Viamonte Ros delivered
her 3P's speech to the County Commission, community partners and
Health Department staff. A resolution was then presented
congratulating the Pasco County Health Department for being
recognized as "public health ready". Dr. Viamonte Ros and Tom
Arnold had the opportunity to interact with community partners prior
to returning to the Health Department to join staff in a Heart
Healthy Luncheon in celebration of Valentines Day.
